Pastor Javion L. Jones
Elder Javion L. Jones was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to the parents of Janet Jobe-Jones & Aubrey Jones. He attended Wilmer-Hutchins High School and graduated in May 2004. Excelling in sports, Elder Jones was offered two scholarships and became a two-sport athlete at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri. Elder Jones went to Marshall, Missouri to go to school, play football, and run track but God had bigger plans.

Academically, Elder Jones acquired two Bachelor’s degrees in Recreation Administration and Exercise Science from Missouri Valley College. Elder Jones also holds an Associate degree in Theology from Midwest College of Theology and has a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Capella University. In the fall of 2019, Elder Jones was inducted into his college Hall of Fame for football and he currently holds 3 records at the school since 2006.

After battling with the calling on his life and losing his grandmother in 2006, Elder Jones surrendered and accepted his call into the ministry while still attending college. The first assignment that God called him to was to start a Young Men of Power group on campus that met once a week. The classes started out with a faithful three but by the end of the semester, God used Elder Jones remarkably, and the class grew to over 30 young men.
In 2008, Elder Jones was licensed as a Minister by Pastor Charles L. Stephenson Jr., Senior Pastor of Powerhouse Ministries COGIC. In 2010, Elder Jones was appointed as the Youth President for Powerhouse Ministries. In 2012 Elder Jones was also appointed as the Assistant Sunday School Superintendent for Powerhouse Ministries. In 2013, Elder Jones was ordained an Elder by Bishop John Mark Johnson, Jurisdictional Prelate of Missouri Western Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. In May of 2013, Elder Jones was appointed Moberly District Youth President by his predecessor Supt. Johnny Moore Jr.

While serving in various capacities in the local church under Pastor Charles L. Stephenson Jr., God saw fit to open more doors for Elder Jones in his ministry and in August 2015, he was elevated to the office of Assistant Pastor of Powerhouse Ministries COGIC. In March of 2017 the Lord placed Elder Jones on the heart of Administrative Assistant W.T. Morris to come to True Vine Fellowship COGIC to serve as his Assistant Pastor and help carry out the work of the Lord.

In January 2018, through the humility and faithfulness of Elder Jones; Bishop John Mark Johnson appointed him as Jurisdictional Chief Adjutant. In January 2019, Elder Jones was appointed as the Missouri Western Second Jurisdiction Youth Department President. On January 26, 2020, Elder Jones was installed as the newly appointed Pastor of True Vine Fellowship COGIC.

Elder Javion L. Jones exchanged vows to the love of his life, Tori on March 13, 2010. They are the proud parents of 2 girls. Elder Jones is a God-fearing, family man who lives by the scripture 1 Cor. 15:10 “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
